Announcing a business partnership with Treasure Data, Inc.

Treasure Data, Inc. (head office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Takashi Miura) and Idein Inc. (head office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Koichi Nakamura) have begun connecting Treasure Data’s “Treasure Data CDP” with our on-site data collection platform “Actcast”.

This partnership aims to support corporate digital transformation (DX) and enable store DX, by combining video and sensing data generated on-site — on the sales floor and in the back office — with the customer data companies already hold.

“Actcast” collects data from edge devices such as cameras and microphones, uses AI-equipped cameras to gauge visitor attributes such as age, gender, and mask-wearing, and measures how much attention in-store digital signage receives, visualising it all on a dashboard.

By combining POS data, inventory data, and customer behaviour history with the on-site data Actcast collects and analyses in real time, we expect to speed up the verification of promotional campaign results, drive purchases, optimise the customer experience, and improve operational efficiency through better inventory allocation and purchasing.

Our CEO and Treasure Data’s Executive Officer are also scheduled to hold a joint talk at “PLAZMA Retail & Apparel”, held 6-8 July 2021.
