The challenge Idein solves
When device management is split across departments and plants, security settings drift apart and software updates get missed. Managing general-purpose devices such as Raspberry Pi centrally on Actcast — with remote configuration changes and software updates — removes that fragmentation. Combined with CTC’s data-enablement service “D-Native,” the collected data is carried through to visualization and analysis.
What we did
- Joint development of a solution combining Idein’s edge AI platform “Actcast” with CTC’s data-enablement service “D-Native”
- General-purpose devices such as Raspberry Pi managed centrally on Actcast, with remote configuration and software updates
- Data from IoT sensors — temperature, humidity, dimensions, weight, energy consumption — accumulated, visualized and analyzed
- Plans to extend edge computing to the control of industrial robots, starting with painting and assembly machinery
